What's the story?
Formed in 1893, Nottingham Operatic Society performed their first show 'Les Cloches de Cornerville' by Robert Planguette on 18 January 1894 at the Mechanics Hall.
In 1925 the Society moved its shows to the Theatre Royal with a production of The Yeoman of the Guard by Gilbert and Sullivan and have been a constant presence at the venue ever since.
This 2018 production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber was the company’s 125th anniversary show.
