Title
The Mousetrap flyer, 1952
Date
6 October 1952
Description
This is the flyer produced for the world premiere week of Agatha Christie's play, The Mousetrap.
What's the story?
The flyer is one of hundreds of documents and posters in the Brian Coates Collection, donated by his family. In October 1952, Agatha Christie brought her latest play, The Mousetrap, to the Theatre Royal for its world premiere before moving to London - for what became (and still is) the world's longest running play, a run only interrupted by the Covid lockdown periods in 2020/21.
On the reverse of the flyer is a set of Q&As which are, in themselves, very interesting.
