Title
Alfie - Leaflet, 1994
Date
28 March 1994
Description
Fold-out leaflet for Alfie by Bill Naughton, starring and directed by Adam Faith.
What's the story?
Alfie is a 1963 play by Bill Naughton, made famous by the 1966 film starring Michael Caine.
As the leaflet indicates this was the third tour of Alfie during the 1990s with actor and former sixties pop star Adam Faith, aged then 54, in the title role.
This leaflet has been made available as a loan to the Theatre Royal for digitisation and uploading to the archive by the Wilson family in Nottingham. Their collection of Theatre Royal ephemera relates from 1980 to 2000. This was a period of regular theatre visits, inspired by their youngest son, described as “the driving force” for seeing so many shows at the venue.
Having heard an appeal for items relating to the Theatre Royal’s past, they contacted the venue to offer their important family collection.
