Title
Peter Pan - Programme, 1966
Date
28 February 1966
Description
Full programme for Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie starring Sylvia Syms and Ronald Lewis.
What's the story?
This 1966 production of Peter Pan shows that this title has still not yet been re-worked as a Pantomime title and is perhaps more faithful to J.M. Barrieās original vision.
In this production, it is popular film and television actor Sylvia Syms who plays the eponymous hero, with Ronald Lewis as his nemesis Captain Hook.
There is a fascinating list towards the back of the programme of all the actors who have played either Peter or Hook to this point. It is quite an illustrious list. Two of the most prominent names to have played Peter, Pauline Chase and Jean Forbes-Robertson, both portrayed the roles at the Theatre Royal.
