What's the story?
This was the last of four Pantomimes (2004 to 2007) produced by the Theatre Royal itself, rather than using an external producer.
In 2008 Qdos Entertainment returned to the Theatre Royal as the Panto producer.
Debra Stephenson in the title role also marks the last time in recent history when the Theatre Royal has had a traditional Principal Boy role. Qdos' policy is to generally cast male actors in these roles.
John Challis returned to the role of Captain Hook in Peter Pan at the Theatre Royal in 2018, playing opposie Joe Pasquale as Smee.
In this 2007 production Chales Dale played Smee and The Acraloons played The Pirates.
