Description
Postcard from Hedley's of Ashford of picture by Paul Atchinson depicting the Theatre Royal and a tram from Nottingham Express Transit.
What's the story?
After many years of planning and work, in March 2004 the £200 million Nottingham Express Transit tram system was finally up and running. Running from Nottingham to Hucknall, the new tram ran directly parallel to the side of the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall along Goldsmith Street. There was now even a Royal Centre tram stop just a few metres from Stage Door.
This postcard shows a tram heading to Nottingham Rail Station.
