What's the story?
Comedian Tony Hancock (1924 – 1968) played Jolly Jenkins in the 1950 Panto Red Riding Hood.
It was in the following year, in 1951, when his radio career began to flourish, becoming a cast member on Educating Archie.
Tony Hancock returned to the Theatre Royal in 1953 to play Buttons in Cinderella.
Gillian Haywood-Widdowson was one of the young dancers in Red Riding Hood and so asked her famous co-star for the autographed pictures.
These have been carefully looked after by Gillian for the past 69 years, along with other rare images and cuttings from her time in Pantomime, which can be found elsewhere on this site.
