Watch on the Rhine is an American play set during World War 2 by Lillian Hellman. It premiered in New York in April 1941 and opened in London the following year. This was directed by Emlyn Williams and for the subsequent touring production.
The touring cast included Zena Dare, Geoffrey Toone, Kathleen Kent, Robert Andrews and Ursula Jeans.
Of note, is a very early stage appearance by popular actor, dancer and entertainer Lionel Blair, aged just 15, in the role of Bodo Muller.
