What's the story?
Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes was first published in 1605. The ballet version is based on episodes from the novel and was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa to the music of Ludwig Minkus in Moscow in 1869.
This 1996 Northern Ballet Theatre production retains the music of Minkus and is produced and choreographed by Christopher Gable (then Artistic Director) and Michael Barrett-Pink.
