What's the story?
The Play That Goes Wrong is a play by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields of Mischief Theatre Company, who formed the company in 2008 as graduates of LAMDA.
The production sees the fictitious Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society attempting to present a performance of The Murder at Haversham Manor, an Agatha Christie styled murder mystery play.
During the performance, a play within a play, constant disasters befall the cast, until virtually the whole set collapses.
The Play That Goes Wrong premiered at the Old Red Lion Theatre in London in 2012, and then moved to Trafalgar Studios in 2013, followed by this UK tour in 2014.
It has since become a global phenomenon, being translated into several languages, as well as playing on Broadway.
It won Best New Comedy at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards.
Cast includes Henry Shields, Greg Tannahill, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Charlie Russell, Dave Hearn, Lotti Maddox and Rob Falconer.
