What's the story?
Featuring the words and music of Noel Coward, Cowardy Custard (a title suggested by Coward himself) was devised by Gerald Frow, Alan Strachan and Wendy Toye and featured a number of pieces of Coward’s work from the 1920s to 1960s, including Mad About the Boy, The Stately Homes of England and Marvellous Party, as well as previously unpublished material.
The show was first presented in 1972. This 1989 revival starred Shani Wallis, John Clegg, Tony Adams, Jenny Logan, Ashley Knight and Kate Jenny.
This leaflet has been autographed by Ashley Knight, who played Noel Coward in this production.
