No Sex Please We're British - Leaflet, 1988
Date
2 May 1988
Description
Double-sided leaflet for farce No Sex Please We're British by Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foot.
What's the story?
No Sex Please We’re British opened in London in 1971, where it was unanimously panned by critics. These reviews were ignored by the public, as the show ran for 16 successful years at the Strand, the Garrick and the Duchess theatres.
Following on closely from its long West End run, this 1988 touring production starred Andrew Sachs, Heather Chasen, Charles Stapley and Norman Vaughan.
The plot of No Sex Please We’re British concerns a young couple who innocently order some Scandinavian glassware in the mail, only to receive in return pornographic books, pictures and films. As in all true farces, matters are complicated with the arrival of a domineering mother, the police and the bank manager!
