Max Bygraves was an incredibly popular singer, actor and entertainer on both television and stage.
Bygraves was a regular performer at the Theatre Royal. To mark the re-opening of the Theatre Royal, he was the star performer at a Royal Gala Performance in the presence of Princess Anne in June 1978.
At this 1964 show, other performers included Flack and Lamar, Lynton Boys, Polka Dots, Les Giross, The Three Monarchs, Toni et Margo and Max’s own son Anthony Bygraves.
