Selected pages from programme for Wane Sleep Bits & Pieces, a dance show featuring highlights from Sleep's career as a choreographer, dancer and entertainer.
What's the story?
Subtitled ‘A Dancing Explosion’, Wayne Sleep Bits & Pieces is a celebration of Sleep’s career as a dancer, choreographer and performer.
Working with a large ensemble of dancers, the show features work from his own dance company Dash, classical work such as Swan Lake and pieces from Sleep’s extensive work in musical theatre, including Cats and Song and Dance, both works by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Wayne Sleep also directed the show, but Associate Director was notable actor Victor Spinetti.
It is also interesting to note that this programme also features a section on ‘Historical Nottingham’ profiling the work of artist Dame Laura Knight, born in Long Eaton in Nottingham in 1877.
