Title
Robinson Crusoe - Programme, 1964
Date
24 December 1964
Description
Full programme for Robinson Crusoe, the Theatre Royal Pantomime for 1964.
What's the story?
This production of Robinson Crusoe was produced by Tom Arnold and starred Reg Varney, The Three Monarchs, Lupino Lane and Lynn Kennington.
As a 'special novel Pantomime feature' also appearing was Tony Holland - the muscle man from Opportunity Knocks, the popular British TV talent show of the time, presented by Hughie Green.
Tony Holland's act basically consisted of showing off his physique and flexing his muscles to the music 'Wheels' by Joe Loss.
He won Opportunity Knocks six times during 1964 and so this would have been a big coup by the Theatre Royal to have him in their Panto.
