What's the story?

Grumpy starred Horace Hodges in the title role, who co-wrote with T. Wigney Percyval.
Described by The Daily Telegraph as "jolly entertainment as you will find", Grumpy was a very popular show.
This 1918 production was its third and final visit to the Theatre Royal Nottingham during The Great War, with a matinee on the Thursday for wounded soldiers and members of American forces.
