This Northern Ballet Theatre production of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker was choreographed by Andre Prokovsky, under the artistic direction for the company by Robert de Warren.
De Warren was appointed Artistic Director in 1976. A classically trained dancer with a wealth of experience, de Warren renamed the company Northern Ballet Theatre and produced scaled-down versions of full-length classical ballets, such as this 1986 production of The Nutcracker.
