The Pantomime Beauty and the Beast (or Harlequin and the Fairy of the Golden Waters in the Mystic Valley) was performed first , followed by the "screaming farce" The Laughing Hyena.
The playbill also indicates that during that week there will also be performed an historical drama entitled Midnight Watch.
It is worth noting that Beauty and the Beast as a Pantomime was not performed at the Theatre Royal again until 2017.
