What's the story?
Grease is a 1971 musical by Jim Jacobs, following the lives of a group of teenagers in 1959 at Rydell High School.
In 1978 the musical was adapted into a hugely popular feature film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John. The film revised and softened themes and elements from the original musical and these changes have been incorporated into subsequent stage revivals.
In this 1998 touring production the role of teenager Danny Zuko was played by then 30-year-old Luke Goss, drummer in 80s pop band Bros.
